My Vote Wisconsin allows you to make sure your voter registration is up to dateregister to voteapply for an absentee ballot, and /or see a sample of the ballot(registration forms or absentee applications are also at clerk's office)

2026 Elections

February 17 - Spring Primary Election -NO ELECTION IN VILLAGE OF GENOA CITY

April 7 -  Spring Election

August 11 - Partisan Primary

November 3 - General Election

 

Polling Place Hours: 7am to 8pm

Location: Village Hall, 755 Fellows Rd, Genoa City WI 53128

Please note: The Clerk/Treasurer's Office will be closed for business on Election Day.  All payments must be placed in the drop boxes.

REGISTRATION

Online

Wisconsin voters can register completely online at My Vote Wisconsin. You must be able to match your name, date of birth, Wisconsin Drver License or State ID number, and address with the Wisconsin DMV. Deadline for online registration is 11:59pm on the third Wednesday before Election Day.

In-Person

Voters may register in-person in the Village Clerk's Office during regular business hours Mon - Fri, 8am - 4pm. Valid proof of residence (POR) is required. Deadline for in-person registration is 5pm the Friday before Election Day. (4pm -5pm is by appt. only)

Voters can register to vote on Election Day at the polling place from 7am - 8pm, Valid proof of residence (POR) is required. (Registration process on Election Day may take longer)

By Mail

Voters may register by mail by sending a completed Voter Registration Form along with a Proof of Residence (POR) document. Your application along with your POR must be postmarked to the Village Clerk by the third Wednesday before Election Day. 

 

ABSENTEE VOTING

In-Person Absentee Voting

Voters can possibly request and vote an absentee ballot in-person in the Clerk's Office beginning 14 days prior to Election Day and ending the Friday before Election Day. (4pm -5pm is by appt. only) A valid photo ID is required. (You must be registered to vote or provide proof of residence (POR) to register and vote.) 

Absentee Voting By Mail

Registered Voters may request an absentee ballot to be mailed to them with an Absentee Application or or online through My Vote Wisconsin (photo ID required). Absentee ballot request must be received by the Village Clerk no later than 5pm on the 5th day prior to Election Day.

Returning Your Absentee Ballot

You must return your absentee ballot by mail or delivery to your Village Clerk's Office. Your ballot must be receive by your Village Clerk no later than 8pm on Election Day.

  • By mail (be sure to sign your outside envelope and have a witness signature)
  • In person at Village Hall office during regular office hours.
  • Drop it off at your polling ploace on Election Day by 8pm.
  • DO NOT return your absentee ballot in ANY drop boxes.
  • DO NOT return anyone's ballot but your own. (unless another provision of the law specifically authorizes an agent to act on the elector's behalf)
